How do I know if a venue is actually halal?

Look for the certification badge on venue listings. Venues with official halal certification from recognised Australian bodies display a green 'Certified' badge. Venues marked as 'Community Verified' have been confirmed by community members but don't hold official certification.

Is Halal Finder really free?

Yes. Guest browsing is free, including search, map browsing, and venue details. A paid consumer membership is only needed for account-bound features such as saved places, personal lists, and synced preferences.

How do I report incorrect venue information?

Open the venue detail page on the website or in the iOS app and choose 'Report an issue'. Paid members can flag incorrect halal status, wrong addresses, closed venues, or other inaccuracies. Our team reviews all reports.

I own a restaurant. How do I claim my listing?

Sign in on the website and open /business/claim to search for your venue and start claim onboarding. Owner tools unlock after your claim has been reviewed and approved. Owner billing is separate from consumer membership.

Why can't I find a venue I know about?

We're constantly adding new venues. Paid members can suggest a missing venue from the website search page or the iOS app. If you need help, email support with the venue name, suburb, and any halal evidence you have.

Do you track my location?

Only when you're actively using the app to find nearby venues, and only if you've given permission. We never track your location in the background, and we never store your location history.

How do I manage my membership or delete my account?

Website memberships can be managed from Account > Billing. If you subscribed on iOS, manage that subscription from Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Owner plans stay separate and live in the owner workflow after claim approval. To delete account data, start from the Profile screen in the iPhone app or from your signed-in account page on the website. A delete confirmation email from Halal Finder can finish the request on the web confirmation page after you sign in. This removes your account data, including saved places, lists, reports, suggestions, votes, and claims.

Can I confirm account deletion on the web?

Yes. If you receive a delete confirmation link sent by Halal Finder, the secure confirmation page can complete the request after you sign in. You can start deletion from the iPhone app Profile flow or from your signed-in website account page. The browser confirmation page only accepts delete links sent by Halal Finder.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Halal Finder is available on the web and iOS. We'll announce any Android availability through the website and app channels.
