Agreement to terms

By using Halal Finder — the mobile app or this website — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Simple as that.

What Halal Finder is

Halal Finder is a venue discovery platform that helps you find halal food across Melbourne and Victoria. We aggregate venue information, community reviews, and certification data to make it easy to discover halal dining options.

We do our best to keep venue information accurate, but we can't guarantee that every detail is always up to date. Always confirm halal status directly with the venue if it's important to you.

Your account

You can browse venues without an account. Creating an account is optional. Paid membership may be required to unlock saved venues, personal lists, and synced account features. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

Community guidelines

Halal Finder is built on community trust. When contributing public list content, venue suggestions, reports, owner-submitted media, or venue information, you agree to:

• ●Be respectful in reviews — critique the food, not the people
• ●Not submit false or misleading halal status information
• ●Not spam, harass, or misuse the platform in any way

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

Subscriptions

Halal Finder offers free guest browsing for core discovery features, including map browsing, search, and venue details. Paid membership unlocks saved venues, personal lists, and synced account features. Website memberships are managed from your web account, while iOS subscriptions are managed through your Apple account.

Refunds and cancellations follow the payment service used for the purchase. Owner billing is separate from the consumer membership.

Public lists and shared content

Paid consumer accounts can create personal lists and optionally turn a list into a public shared page. If you enable sharing, the list name, description, and included venues may be visible on the first-party Halal Finder website until you disable sharing or delete the list.

Business listings

Restaurant and venue owners can claim their business listing to manage their information. Claiming requires verification of ownership and may remain in review until approved. As a business owner, you're responsible for keeping your venue details accurate, including halal certification status, menu, and operating hours.

Separate owner plans unlock venue management and promotional tools after claim approval. Claim review, owner access, and owner billing stay separate from consumer membership.

Content & intellectual property

The Halal Finder app, website, design, and brand are owned by Lavon Global Pty Ltd. Venue data is aggregated from public sources and community contributions.

Content you contribute — public list names and descriptions, venue suggestions, reports, claim submissions, and owner-submitted media or venue details — remains yours where applicable. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and display it within the app and on this website to operate the product.

Halal verification disclaimer

Halal Finder provides information to help you make informed choices. We display certification status where available, but we are not a halal certifying body. Community-verified status means other users have confirmed halal status — it is not official certification. Always verify directly with the venue when certainty matters.

Limitation of liability

Halal Finder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to provide accurate, up-to-date information, but we're not liable for inaccuracies in venue data, halal status, operating hours, or other details. Your use of the app is at your own discretion.

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, Lavon Global Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
